League 2023! The Omar
Associates-owned franchise was founded in 2015 and is based in Quetta, the capital city of the
Balochistan province in
Pakistan.
The Quetta Gladiators have a strong fan following in Pakistan, especially in Balochistan, and have been
one of the most
successful teams in the PSL. The team won the PSL championship in 2019 and has been runner-up twice in
2016 and 2017.
The Gladiators boast some of the best players worldwide, such as Sarfaraz Ahmed, Umar Akmal, and Jason
Roy. The current
captain of the team is Sarfaraz Ahmed and coached by former Pakistani wicket-keeper Moin Khan.
Despite facing various challenges, the Quetta Gladiators continue to remain a competitive team in the
PSL and are known
for their fighting spirit and resilience on the field.
